Andrea C. Villanti's indexed work centers on tobacco product use patterns and their regulation, with a recurring emphasis on flavored and menthol products. Her systematic review of electronic nicotine delivery systems (473 citations) and her studies of flavored tobacco product use in youth and adults using PATH Study data (333 citations) and flavored tobacco use among US youth aged 12–17 (304 citations) suggest a sustained effort to characterize who uses novel and flavored products and how that use relates to initiation. Her research on how e-cigarette companies market their products and how the public engages with that information extends this into communication and policy questions. Beyond the focus list, her co-authored work on harm minimization and tobacco control (298 citations) and her earlier study of tobacco and dual use among young adults as a missing link between prevention and cessation indicate long-standing engagement with population-level tobacco use transitions. No software tools, datasets, or patents are indexed beyond her publications. Across these outputs, the through-line appears consistent: quantifying patterns of nicotine and tobacco use, then testing how regulation, marketing, and communication shape those patterns.
