Andrew H. Briggs's indexed work centers on the methods and practice of health economic evaluation, particularly how uncertainty is quantified and communicated. His most-cited contributions include a foundational text on decision modelling for health economic evaluation (3124 citations) and an introduction to Markov modelling for economic evaluation, which together helped standardize how cost-effectiveness models are constructed. A parallel thread addresses statistical inference in economic evaluation, notably a non-parametric bootstrap approach to confidence interval estimation and cost-effectiveness acceptability curves, while later work on model parameter estimation and uncertainty analysis consolidated good-practice guidance for the field. Beyond these lead-author works, Briggs contributed as a middle author to the CHEERS reporting standards for health economic evaluations and its 2022 update, and to a trial comparing oral versus intravenous antibiotics for bone and joint infection. His collaborations include Ann Sarah Walker, a co-author on that trial. No software, datasets, patents, or funded grants are indexed beyond his publications. Taken together, the named works trace a consistent line of inquiry: building the modelling, uncertainty, and reporting conventions that underpin applied cost-effectiveness analysis.
