Arnold Tukker's indexed work centers on product–service systems as pathways to resource efficiency and a circular economy, a line of inquiry established through an early typology of eight PSS types and a decade-later review of the field. His detailed review of life-cycle studies on the environmental impacts of products helped frame consumption-side sustainability assessment, while later senior-author work on EXIOBASE 3, a time series of environmentally extended multi-regional input–output tables, underpins footprint and sustainability-accounting analyses. Beyond these, Tukker contributed as a middle author to future material demand for automotive lithium-based batteries and to work on land-use impacts on biodiversity and carbon sequestration driven by population and economic growth, extending his footprint perspective to resource and ecosystem questions. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond publications, though Daniel Dean Moran appears among his collaborators. Taken together, the works trace a shift from conceptualizing sustainable product-service design toward building the quantitative, multi-regional accounting infrastructure needed to measure consumption's global environmental consequences.
