Bao Yu Xia's indexed work centers on electrocatalyst design for energy conversion, spanning fuel cells, water electrolysis, and CO2 utilization. Early first-author contributions include metal–organic-framework-derived bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts and cubic PtCu3 nanocages for methanol oxidation, while later senior-author work on bunched Pt-Ni alloy nanocages for practical oxygen reduction and advanced architectures for Zn–air battery air electrodes reflects a sustained focus on translating catalyst nanostructure into device-level performance. Beyond these, Xia contributed to porous molybdenum carbide nano-octahedrons for efficient hydrogen production and to Co3O4/NiCo2O4 double-shelled nanocages with enhanced pseudocapacitive and electrocatalytic properties, both middle-author collaborations. His more recent senior-author output extends the same line into durable CO2 conversion in proton-exchange membrane systems and reviews of proton exchange membrane water electrolysis. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond these publications. The arc runs from synthesizing shaped nanocages and framework-derived catalysts toward integrated electrochemical systems for fuel cells, electrolysis, and CO2 valorization.
