Beixiong Zheng's indexed work centers on intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-aided wireless communications, with a methodological thread running through channel estimation and passive beamforming design. His most-cited first-author contributions address IRS-enhanced OFDM channel estimation and reflection optimization (931 citations) and, in a widely referenced survey, practical passive beamforming and channel estimation for IRS-aided systems (584 citations). A related line examines multiple-access design, including user pairing for IRS-assisted NOMA versus OMA (397 citations) and channel estimation and training design for IRS-assisted multi-user OFDMA (317 citations), alongside later extensions to cooperative passive beamforming in double-IRS multi-user MIMO. Beyond these, Zheng contributed as a co-author to a tutorial on IRS-aided wireless communications (3024 citations) and to work on protocol design and rate maximization for IRS meets OFDM, both of which helped consolidate the field's foundational framing; he also co-authored a survey on spatial modulation in emerging wireless systems. Earlier first-author work on low-complexity detection for MIMO-OFDM with index modulation reflects a sustained interest in modulation and detector design. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond his publications, and Cheng‐Xiang Wang appears among his collaborators.
