Bruce L. Miller's indexed work centers on the molecular and imaging signatures of neurodegenerative disease, particularly how baseline tau-PET topography predicts prospective longitudinal atrophy in Alzheimer's disease (597 citations). Related work examines neurophysiological signatures that distinguish tau burden, amyloid-β accumulation, and cognitive decline, and a mouse-model study proposes that a second X chromosome contributes to resilience in Alzheimer's disease. A parallel thread addresses progranulin haploinsufficiency and its neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis-like features, alongside network architecture underlying basal autonomic outflow in frontotemporal dementia. Additional indexed outputs include a study of longitudinal structural and metabolic changes in frontotemporal dementia, and a middle-author contribution identifying a C6orf10/LOC101929163 locus associated with age of onset in C9orf72 carriers. Other work spans TSC1 loss promoting tau acetylation and impaired tau clearance, neuropsychiatric symptom severity in early- versus late-onset Alzheimer's disease, and awe walks promoting prosocial positive emotions in older adults. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond these publications. Across these works, the throughline is a multimodal effort to connect molecular mechanisms, imaging markers, and clinical phenotypes in dementia.
