Christos A. Davatzikos's indexed work centers on machine-learning classification of brain MRI to characterize neurodegeneration and tumor pathology. His most-cited senior-author contributions include expert segmentation labels and radiomic features for TCGA glioma MRI collections (3,036 citations) and longitudinal MRI evidence of age-related brain shrinkage in older adults, while his first-author work applied pattern classification of MRI, CSF biomarkers, and atrophy to predict MCI-to-AD conversion. Related studies on spatial atrophy patterns predicting cognitive decline and on harmonizing large lifespan MRI datasets suggest a sustained methodological thread: extracting quantitative imaging signatures that generalize across scanners and cohorts. Beyond these, Davatzikos contributed as a middle author to the Image Biomarker Standardization Initiative for quantitative radiomics and to a survey of deformable medical image registration, both widely cited reference works. His earlier contributions include MRI-based partial-volume correction for PET radiotracer measurement in gray matter. No software tools, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed in the available record, so his publicly visible output remains publication-based. Taken together, the named works trace a trajectory from imaging physics and morphometry toward standardized, machine-learning-driven biomarkers for neurological and oncological disease.
