Cosetta Minelli's indexed work centers on methods for Mendelian randomization, particularly the use of two-sample approaches on single large datasets, a methodological contribution cited over 300 times. Her applied causal-inference portfolio includes serum iron levels and Parkinson disease risk and age at menarche as a determinant of adult body mass index, both framed as Mendelian randomization studies. A parallel strand concerns meta-analytic methods for genetic association studies, spanning the meta-analysis of genome-wide association studies, the choice of genetic model in molecular association studies, and the handling of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium information. Beyond these lead-author works, Minelli contributed as a middle author to highly cited methodological resources, including a framework for investigating pleiotropy in two-sample summary-data Mendelian randomization and the MR-Egger regression guidance on the I2 statistic. Earlier collaborative work includes identification of new loci associated with kidney function and chronic kidney disease. No software tools, datasets, patents, or funded grants are indexed beyond her publications. Across these outputs, her contributions trace a consistent line: developing and stress-testing the statistical machinery of causal inference and genetic meta-analysis, then applying it to respiratory, neurological, and developmental phenotypes.
