David Cahen's indexed work centers on the physics of low-cost semiconductors, particularly the charge-transport properties of hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites, the subject of a 2016 review that has drawn over 1,500 citations. A related strand examines how cesium incorporation stabilizes lead bromide perovskite solar cells, and a 2019 analysis of the state of the art across photovoltaic solar cell technologies has itself accumulated more than 1,100 citations. Earlier, his first-author work addressed the nature of photovoltaic action in dye-sensitized solar cells and electron energetics at surfaces and interfaces, establishing the mechanistic and interface-science concerns that recur throughout the later perovskite studies. Middle-author contributions extend this line: a 2015 study asking how important the organic part of lead halide perovskite cells really is demonstrated efficient CsPbBr3 devices, while a 2014 paper compared interface energetics in organo-metal halide perovskite photovoltaic cells. Aditya Sadhanala appears among indexed co-authors on this perovskite work. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond the publications themselves. Taken together, the listed outputs trace a consistent arc from early photoelectrochemical and interface-energetics studies toward the mechanistic understanding and stability engineering of perovskite photovoltaics.
