Chunzhong Li's indexed work centers on graphene quantum dots as fluorescent nanolights for bioimaging, sensing, catalysis, and photovoltaics, the subject of a review that anchors much of his most-cited output, alongside an early report on facile preparation and upconversion luminescence of graphene quantum dots. A parallel line of inquiry addresses electrochemical energy storage, including 3D carbon-based nanostructures for advanced supercapacitors and mesoporous carbon incorporating metal oxides as supercapacitor electrodes, with related studies on hierarchical porous NiCo2O4 nanowires for high-rate supercapacitors and MoS2–carbon interoverlapped superstructures for lithium-ion storage. His catalysis work spans cobalt nanoparticles embedded in nitrogen-doped carbon as bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts and transition metals encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes for oxygen electrode reactions. Beyond the focus list, Li contributed to advanced energy storage devices: basic principles, analytical methods, and rational materials design, a broadly cited treatment of storage fundamentals. Related work on graphene–TiO2 composites with enhanced photocatalytic activity extends the materials-synthesis thread into photocatalysis. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond these publications. Taken together, the listed works trace a consistent arc from quantum-dot photophysics through porous carbon and oxide electrode design to doped-carbon electrocatalysis, sustained across a long publishing window.
