Constantinos C. Stoumpos's indexed work centers on the synthesis, crystal growth, and structure–property relationships of hybrid halide perovskites. His most-cited first-author study, on semiconducting tin and lead iodide perovskites with organic cations, mapped phase transitions, high mobilities, and near-infrared photoluminescence (over 5,400 citations), while a companion line on Ruddlesden–Popper 2D homologous lead iodide semiconductors established the layered family's tunable optoelectronic behavior. Related first-author work on crystal growth of CsPbBr3 for high-energy radiation detection and on germanium iodide perovskites with active lone pairs and strong nonlinear optical properties extends this structural and optical program. Beyond these lead efforts, Stoumpos contributed as a middle author to high-efficiency two-dimensional Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite solar cells and to lead-free solid-state organic–inorganic halide perovskite solar cells, both widely cited demonstrations of device relevance. His earlier manganese-cluster chemistry, including unusual structural motifs in hexanuclear Mn complexes, reflects a crystallographic foundation that later informed perovskite structural analysis. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond publications. Across these works, the arc runs from coordination-cluster crystallography to the design and structural understanding of hybrid perovskite semiconductors for optoelectronics and radiation detection.
