Cameron John Turtle's indexed work centers on CD19 CAR-T cell therapy in adult B-cell malignancies, spanning trial design, toxicity biology, and resistance. His first-author study of fixed CD4+:CD8+ composition CAR-T products in adult B-cell ALL (over 2,100 citations) and related non-Hodgkin lymphoma work established defined-composition manufacturing as a clinical strategy. As senior author, he mapped endothelial activation and blood–brain barrier disruption underlying neurotoxicity and characterized cytokine release syndrome kinetics and biomarkers, while also documenting CD19-negative myeloid escape in MLL-rearranged B-ALL. Beyond these, he contributed to the ASTCT consensus grading for cytokine release syndrome and neurologic toxicity, now a field-wide standard, and to T-cell receptor β-chain diversity assessment in αβ T cells. His later work includes lymphodepletion response and progression-free survival in aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma and concurrent ibrutinib with CD19 CAR-T cells in CLL after ibrutinib failure. Collaborations include David Bernard Miklos. No software, datasets, or patents are indexed; the throughline is mechanistic and interventional CAR-T science, from product composition to toxicity management and immune escape.
