Dan Du's indexed work centers on electrochemical sensing and nanomaterial-based catalysis, with early first-author studies establishing dual signal amplification strategies for cancer biomarker immunosensors using graphene sheets and multienzyme-functionalized carbon nanospheres, and a related multienzyme labeling approach for ultrasensitive detection of phosphorylated p53. This biosensing line extends to acetylcholinesterase biosensors for organophosphate detection, spanning carbon nanotube–polypyrrole composites and gold nanoparticles in sol–gel films. Later senior-author contributions shift toward single-atom nanozymes with peroxidase-like activity for ultrasensitive bioassays and far-red to near-infrared carbon dots for biotechnology, alongside nanomaterial-based electrochemical sensors for pesticide detection. Beyond these, Du contributed to widely cited reviews on electrochemical sensors and biosensors based on nanomaterials and nanostructures and on single-atom electrocatalysts, reflecting a broader engagement with energy-conversion catalysis. Collaborations with Chengzhou Zhu appear across this electrocatalysis and sensing work. No software, datasets, patents, or funded grants are indexed beyond the publication record. Taken together, the named works trace a consistent arc from amplified electrochemical immunoassays and enzyme-based pesticide biosensors toward engineered nanomaterials, single-atom catalysts, and carbon dots for bioanalysis and energy applications.
