Asma B. M. Buanz's indexed work centers on pharmaceutical materials science, particularly the use of ink-jet printing to engineer drug formulations and control crystallisation. Her most-cited first-author study, on personalized-dose salbutamol sulphate oral films prepared by thermal ink-jet printing, established printing as a route to dose-flexible oral films, while later work compared ink-jet printing versus solvent casting for film mechanical properties and physical stability. A parallel thread examines crystallisation within printed droplets, including highly metastable β glycine formed under inkjet confinement and d-mannitol polymorph crystallisation, alongside rapid co-crystal preparation by thermal ink-jet printing. Her broader contributions include middle-author roles in foundational fused-filament 3D printing of tablets and studies of how tablet geometry governs drug release, work that helped shape early pharmaceutical 3D printing. More recent senior-author outputs address 3D printed implantable devices for women's health and intravesical combination therapies for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond her publications. Across these works, the through-line is a sustained effort to connect printing and crystallisation physics to practical, patient-tailored medicines.
