David G. Streets's indexed work centers on anthropogenic emission inventories for Asia, particularly China and India. His most-cited first-author study, an inventory of gaseous and primary aerosol emissions across Asia in 2000, underpins many later regional analyses, while companion work quantified biomass burning emissions and their seasonal atmospheric contributions. As senior author, he helped document regional SO₂ and NO₂ pollution changes observed by Aura OMI between 2005 and 2015, and traced sulfur dioxide and carbonaceous aerosol emission trends in China and India from 1996 to 2010. A parallel thread addresses anthropogenic mercury emissions, including all-time releases from human activities. Beyond these, Streets contributed to large collaborative inventories, including a technology-based global inventory of black and organic carbon emissions from combustion and the MIX mosaic Asian anthropogenic emission inventory, the latter involving Bo Zheng. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond his publications. Taken together, the named works trace a consistent line of inquiry: building and refining emission inventories that connect energy use, combustion, and policy to air quality and climate outcomes across Asia and globally.
